Don't look so surprised!

As the new LifeSkills Trainer at Marine Corps Family Team Building I am extremely excited to enter this new chapter in my book of life. I practically quiver in my chair when I think of the possibilities of this program which provides great tools for improving communication among our Marine Corps families.

Let me say for the record though (and don't ever say that I'm not real) that I am also extremely scared.

Extremely.

What if I fail, fall flat on my face, eat sand and cry dirty tears?

That's okay, being scared isn't necessarily a bad thing, no? I mean it's giving me this adrenaline rush that I've got to run to the top of the hill and let you all know, immediately, and with passion, that I've got that best dang job in the world, teaching the best stuff, things I know you'll say is common sense but that thank you, you needed the reminder, and yes thank you, your lives are a little bit better because you have understanding.

About me:
- I'm all about being real, even if it hurts real bad (it only does for a short time)
- I'm all about seeing those around me thrive and grow
- I'm all about taking risks and seeing where the chips fall
- I'm a Blue Gold (ask me what this is if you don't know!)

This blog is to track my development as a trainer, and as a LifeSkills facilitator and expert. What you can take away from this blog is my personal story of how we are all works in progress and that sometimes you don't get it right the first time but you try and try again. And if you do get it right for the first time, well, try not to look so surprised.
